Ragnarok and the Fall When Ragnarok began, chaos tore the realms apart. Gods fell, and Asgard burned. In a final act of mercy, the Valkyries released their sparrows to save them from being consumed by the apocalypse. One by one, the little messengers vanished into fire and shadow... all but one. Zaifer escaped—burned, battered, and broken-winged. He flew through the ashes of the Nine Realms, gathering feathers from the bodies of his fallen kin and keeping them close to his heart. In the ruins of Valhalla, he made a vow: to seek out any surviving sparrows or Valkyries, and to rekindle the ancient bond between heaven and earth.
